Finally took my line out. I should be on my way home, folks. Just in time before the new lockdown comes down on us. Thanks for having us, PGH.
Let’s talk about masks and vaccs for a moment here. (Because everyone in PGH is on heightened alert and it’s friggin’ all-hands-on-deck around here.)
First up: if you are eligible for a Covid vax shot, you should totally just go for it. The main advantage you get from getting vaccinated is that you’re spared from the worst of Covid because your body now has a better chance at fighting it off.
(Side effects? We didn’t have any. It’s just like a raffle draw– you may have side effects or not. Think of it this way: not dying from Covid is still a pretty good deal.)
Second: even if you’re vaccinated, yes you can still get Covid, and yes you can still spread it around. But there’s a better chance now that you won’t get it. 80% resistant? 90% perhaps? So don’t think you’re 100% scot-free. Being vaccinated is not a license to act irresponsibly.
Third: the Delta variant is a bitch. True, it might be a pandemic for the unvaxxed, but still, mask up pa rin. Don’t touch your face as much. Wash your hands. Keep your distance pa rin. Just take the necessary precautions and all that.
Lastly: educate your family and friends. Keep your family safe and Covid-free by making them understand this shit better and taking the necessary steps. Don’t be a jerk to your friends. Vaxx up. Mask up. Gather responsibly and be excellent to each other.
See you all back in Tagaytay!
