Oh, how I’ll miss you these next several days/nights, my little one. Just the other day, we bonded over Teen Titans Go! to the Movies.
I can tell how much he loves that movie because he’d tell me about the Titans’ fight with Balloon Man. “Beast Boy is so funny,” he’d say. I agree. “He turned into a porcupine, Daddy!” (Then again, they’re all funny.)
The next day, he’d wake up and talk excitedly about the Lion King scene. “Robin was a little baby Simba!” I love it that he was able to get the joke at so early an age.
And the movie’s theme song? He’d bust out his best “Teen-teen Titans, T-teen-t-teen Titans” while playing with his little action figures. Of course, he can’t get the rap parts right just yet, but it’s a start!
Man, I live for those moments. Can’t wait to geek out more with him when I get back home in a few days.
